Shipping, Fulfillment, and Return Policies

Disclaimer: 

STASH does our best to ensure that our photos represent the colourway as accurately as possible. Please be aware that there will be a slight difference in colour between different devices. Remember that dye lots can be as rare as unicorns; be sure to snag enough of the colour you need, because next time, the colour could be different! 

Returns:

At STASH, you have 12 months from the purchase date to return your unused extra yarn. Our return policy is generous because we want you to purchase in confidence and to also give you a full year to finish that great project you planned without having to play yarn chicken! 

Conditions for returns: 

  • You MUST have a receipt for returns, no exceptions. Online orders can be looked up, but in-store purchases cannot. Hang onto that receipt, peeps!
  • Returned items must be new, unused and in sellable condition (free from odors, all tags/packaging intact, etc.) 
  • Gift cards are final sale, no exceptions. 
  • Products that have been purchased online can be returned in person to STASH or shipped at the expense of the buyer.
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
  • If the return of an item that was purchased online causes a total order value to dip below the free shipping threshold, we will deduct the flat rate shipping cost from your return and will refund the remaining balance.
  • Clearance items and special orders are final sale.
  • DMC Floss and cut fabric are final sale.
  • Needles that have been opened are final sale*.
  • Equipment such as spinning wheels and looms are final sale. 
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
  • A returned item cannot be re-purchased to extend the return period. 
  • STASH points will adjusted accordingly.
  • We reserve the right to change this policy or deny returns to folks who take advantage of this generosity.

*ChiaoGoo, Lykke, and Knitter's Pride all have warrenties on their needles in case of a faulty product. We are happy to broker the replacement on your behalf for ChiaoGoos and Knitter's Pride. Lykke Crafts asks that you fill out the form on their website for any replacements. 

Payment:

STASH online accepts Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay, and PayPal. Most Visa Debit cards seem to work, too. 

Gift cards: Any gift card purchased after June 2023 will work in store and online. Older paper gift cards won't work online automatically, but if you call the store or shoot us an email we can update your old gift card into a brand new digital gift card! 

STASH points can be redeemed at checkout using the coupon code generated by Kangaroo Rewards. If you don't use your coupon code within 24 hours it will automatically deactivate, and the points will return to your account. 

Sales Taxes:

Canadian orders are subject to the appropriate GST/HST/PST per your shipping address. Sales taxes are not applied to US orders.

US customers are responsible for any duties, taxes, or fees associated with international purchases.

Shipping:

We currently ship within Canada and the United States.

Shipping costs: (All prices are in Canadian Dollars)

Orders $1 - $139 before taxes: Flat Rate Shipping $15 (Canada/USA), $12 (Alberta) 

Orders over $140 CAD* before taxes: we pay the shipping! 

*Complimentary shipping offer applies to regularly stocked items. Special orders  (including looms and spinning wheels) are subject to a shipping charge. Class registrations do not count towards the free shipping threshold. If you order an item and a class at the same time, we will reach out regarding payment for shipping. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. 

Canadian orders are shipped via Canada Post. Shipping time within Canada is typically 2-6 business days, however, this is an estimate provided by Canada Post, and STASH places no guarantees on the timeline of the shipment once it’s left our warehouse.

US orders are sent via USPS, and will also receive a tracking number. Shipping is typically between 2-6 business days. STASH places no guarantees on the timeline of the shipment once it’s left our warehouse.

US customers are responsible for any duties, taxes, or fees associated with international purchases.

Turnaround Time:

Please note that turnaround times are different than shipping times.

We aim to pack + ship your order ASAP! Domestic orders placed prior to 2:00pm MST Monday - Friday* will be packaged and shipped on the day the order was placed about 99.9% of the time. (Hey, we’re real people over here. Sometimes life gets in the way!) Orders placed after 2:00pm, or on weekends and holidays, will be shipped the next business day.

US orders will be shipped once per week, on Wednesdays.* We use a super speedy USPS shipping service for our US customers.

Canadian Lettermail Option:

A $5 lettermail option is eligible for smaller purchases such as an enamel pin or a single needle set - this option only applies to Canadian orders under a certain weight. STASH does not guarantee any shipping times for letter mail, nor are we responsible for lost packages sent using lettermail. Please select at your own discretion.  

Local Pick-up Turnaround Time:

Orders placed for local pickup prior to 12:00pm MST Monday - Friday* will be packaged and delivered to the STASH retail shop at the end of the business day about 99.9% of the time. (Hey, we’re real people over here. Sometimes life gets in the way!) Orders placed after 12:00pm, or on weekends and holidays, will be dropped off at STASH the next business day.

Please wait for an email from us letting you know your order is ready for pickup, we wouldn’t want you to show up before it’s ready!

Class Policies:

You must be 16 years or older to take a class at STASH.

A note on allergens: Our classrooms are a scent-free environment, please avoid perfume and colonge.  Please eat before class - we want to make sure our classrooms remain allergen free so there is no food allowed in class! You're welcome to bring water bottles and travel mugs with lids. 

If you cannot make your class, you must give STASH at least 1 week (7 days) notice in order to receive a refund for the booking. We are also happy to reschedule you to a new date and time if the schedule allows.

Cancellations between 6 days - 72 hours prior to the scheduled class, club, or event are eligible for a move to a future date, or receive a store credit. 

Cancellations made within 72 hours of the class, club, or event are not eligible for a refund or credit. 

If you need to reschedule a second time, we will issue a refund (7 days prior) or a store credit (6 days to 72 hours prior) for you to re-register at your convenience. 

The first class is super important - you must attend part 1 of your class in order to attend any subsequent parts. STASH is unable to offer make-up classes for missed classes.

In the event that STASH is not able to run a class, club, or event due to low enrollment, we will notify you up to 72 hours, or due to unforeseen circumstances (illness, or acts of nature) we will contact as soon as possible about the situation and offer the following options:

  1. Move to a future date
  2. Issue store credit
  3. Issue a full refund

The first ten minutes of each class are super, duper important. If you are more than 10 minutes late for a class, you will not be able to join. 

Some classes require prerequesets. You will be asked to confirm you meet the requirements for the class as you sign up. These are super important to keep the class on track! 

STASH will not distribute the contact information of any of our instructors.  Our awesome retail team is ready to help with any problems you may have in between or after classes!
